Following a two-year pandemic respite, thousands in Nepal
invited the new year on Thursday by visiting the acclaimed Pashupatinath Temple
here, trading good tidings, planning feasts and crowding outing spots to praise
the event. As per Nepal's true schedule, Thursday denotes the year 2079. Last
year the festivals were prohibited because of rising Covid cases, and the year
prior to that, a lockdown kept individuals restricted to their homes. Large
number of enthusiasts accumulated before the Pashupatinath Temple, with
specialists opening every one of the four entryways of the most seasoned Hindu
sanctuary here as soon as 4 am, authorities of the Pashupatinath Area
Development Trust told PTI. President Bidya Devi Bhandari stretched out her
desires to every one of her residents at home and abroad on the event of the
Nepali New Year 2079 BS. In her message, she wished all Nepal’s harmony,
thriving, great wellbeing and progress. Expressing that the impending year will
be the extended period of political race, President Bhandari said that it was
the obligation to direct the May 13 neighborhood level political decision in a
free and fair way.
May the impending New Year 2079 BS rouse us to make a
cultivated, all around refined and only society while filling all Nepal’s with
zing and enthusiasm,'' she said.
On Wednesday, Nepal's Health Ministry announced just 19 new
COVID-19 cases and no passing's.
