Eid greetings from the US Ambassador to Dhaka
The US Ambassador to Dhaka Peter Haas wished the people of Bangladesh a happy Eid-ul-Fitr. In his congratulatory message, Peter Haas said, "Eid Mubarak to all of you."
The US ambassador said, "I have had a wonderful experience in Bangladesh in the last one month. During this time I have attended at least 10 Iftar mahfils. And the great thing about these is that I have become acquainted with different aspects of Bangladeshi society. '
Peter Haas added, "At the same time, I have met politicians, business leaders, civil society and the youth of this country. Other than that, meeting these people and hearing the importance of Ramadan from you is a wonderful experience for me. '
In his Eid greetings message, the US Ambassador added, "The feeling of sharing joy with friends, family and the bereaved in terms of sacrifice and self-sacrifice is truly a wonderful experience for me."
However, in each of these programs, the importance of Ramadan has been discussed, as well as the importance of religious diversity in Bangladesh. At the same time, respect for all religions is important. And so I think this is a very important message for us to move forward. Eid Mubarak to all of you from the US Embassy Thank you. '
