Hajj quota highest in Indonesia, Bangladesh fourth

The Saudi Arabian authorities have released a list of people from any country in the world who will be able to perform Hajj this year.

Among the foreigners, Pakistan is in the second position with the highest number of one lakh 51 people from Indonesia and 81 thousand 132 people. India is in the third position with  79,237 allotments and Bangladesh is in the fourth position with 57,585 quotas.


The Saudi Gazette quoted the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as saying.


In addition, the African country Angola has received the lowest quota of only 23 people. Among the Arab countries, Egypt has the highest quota of 35,365.


On the other hand, 9,504 pilgrims from USA, 11,318 from Russia, 9,190 from China, 5,885 from Thailand and 91 from Ukraine will be able to perform Hajj this year.


This time 1 million worshipers will be allowed to perform Hajj and 85 percent of them will be foreigners. The last two trips to Saudi Arabia for Hajj were canceled due to Corona.


As a special precaution, pilgrims over the age of 65 have not been allowed to perform the Hajj this year, and each pilgrim must be vaccinated with two doses of corona.
